1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using AGMovers' services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services

AGMovers provides professional moving and relocation services across Australia, including but not limited to:

  • Residential moving services
  • Commercial and office relocations
  • Interstate moving services
  • Packing and unpacking services
  • Storage solutions

3. Booking and Quotes

3.1 Quote Validity

All quotes provided are estimates based on the information you provide. Final costs may vary if the actual volume, distance, or required services differ from the original quote.

3.2 Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only when you accept our quote and provide any required deposit. We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.

3.3 Deposit

A deposit may be required to secure your booking. Deposit amounts and payment terms will be specified in your quote.

4. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information about your move
  • Ensuring all items are properly packed (unless packing service is booked)
  • Securing necessary parking permits for moving trucks
  • Ensuring safe access at both pickup and delivery locations
  • Being present or having an authorized representative present during pickup and delivery
  • Declaring any hazardous, valuable, or fragile items in advance
  • Disconnecting and preparing appliances for moving

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Payment Methods

We accept payment via cash, credit card, debit card, and bank transfer.

5.2 Payment Schedule

Payment terms will be outlined in your quote. Typically, payment is due upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed.

5.3 Late Payment

Late payments may incur additional charges. We reserve the right to withhold delivery of goods until payment is received in full.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

6.1 Customer Cancellation

Cancellation policies:

  • More than 7 days before move: Full refund of deposit
  • 3-7 days before move: 50% of deposit retained
  • Less than 3 days before move: Deposit non-refundable

6.2 Rescheduling

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests. Requests made less than 48 hours before the scheduled move may incur additional charges.

6.3 AGMovers Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule services due to unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather, vehicle breakdown, or other emergencies. In such cases, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer alternative arrangements.

7. Insurance and Liability

7.1 Basic Coverage

All moves include basic insurance coverage. The extent of coverage will be outlined in your service agreement.

7.2 Claims

Any claims for loss or damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Claims should be submitted in writing with supporting documentation and photographs.

7.3 Limitations

We are not liable for:

  • Items not listed on the inventory
  • Damage to items improperly packed by the customer
  • Pre-existing damage to items
  • Loss or damage due to customer negligence
  • Delays caused by circumstances beyond our control
  • Prohibited items (hazardous materials, illegal items, etc.)

8. Prohibited Items

We do not transport:

  • Hazardous materials (flammable, explosive, corrosive substances)
  • Illegal items or contraband
  • Perishable food items (for long-distance moves)
  • Live plants or animals
  • Items of extraordinary value without prior arrangement

9. Storage Services

If storage services are required, separate terms and conditions apply. Storage fees are charged on a monthly basis, and access to stored items must be arranged in advance.

10. Delays

While we strive to complete all moves on schedule, we are not liable for delays caused by:

  • Traffic conditions or road closures
  • Adverse weather conditions
  • Vehicle breakdown (we will provide an alternative vehicle)
  • Customer-related delays
  • Force majeure events

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from our services will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be resolved through mediation or arbitration in accordance with Australian law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AGMovers' total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the specific move in question.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Australia. Any legal proceedings must be brought in the courts of Victoria, Australia.
